Celebrating Over 200 Instagram Posts and 100 Instagram Reels

Two Instagram Milestones In The Same Week

So, What Do We Post On Instagram?

As you could probably tell by the headline, Craypoe Comics maintains an Instagram Account. We post much of our creations on our Instagram page. That includes reels and images. We now, as of this moment,  have 203 total posts with 100 of them being reels and the rest still images. All are featuring the 3D animations and 3D art works created by me, Bob Craypoe. All but a handful use the Punksters.net Comic Strip characters in different scenarios and themes.

What The Images Represent

I first started out with the creation of 3D images. Originally in Daz Studio but I eventually moved to iClone, after converting my characters for use in iClone, where animation is easier to do. My goal was to move into the direction of animation. I currently have 103 still images. Only a very small amount of them were created in Daz studio. That's because, I must confess, my earlier creations were in Daz Studio and they were not nearly as good as my later creations. So many of my earlier creations just simply did not make the cut.

After doing the still I images, I started doing animated gifs. I have some animated gifs featured on this blog that you may view. The animated gifs are really short clips that usually last no more than a few seconds. But they were the step before moving on to videos and reels.

What the Reels Represent

The Instagram reels are somewhat of a step between still images (and gifs) and longer videos. I eventually intend to do video shorts and the Instagram reels are really, more or less, practice for the more difficult things to come. The reels are not particularly intended to be major productions. They are more along the lines of a quick simple meme that someone could post. Although, some of them take a number of hours to complete, depending on certain factors.

Having done the still images has actually prepared me for the task of creating the reels. Many of the characters were already created and dressed in different themes during the creative process of making the still images. So much of the preparation for the creation of the reels has already been done. The occasions where it can take a good number of hours to create a new reel stems from the fact that, in certain scenarios, there may not have been a lot of prep work done when creating the still images. But after the reels are created, many of the elements used can be used again for future reels and videos.

I have created a few full length videos. Currently only one, though, that uses the characters from the Punksters.net Comic Strip series. It was a music video for one of my songs. Here it is:

It Literally Took Years Of Work To Get To This Point

Some might think that you just create things really quick and then just upload your creation to various sites like Instagram like it's no trouble at all. That may be true in some cases but not with the creations I have posted online. I could take a camera, or use the camera on my phone, and go outside and take a quick picture. It could be a picture of pretty much anything. Then I could even post it online from my phone. I could do that in a matter of just a few minutes.

I can't do something as quick and simple as I just stated, as it would pertain to the kind of content that I create. It takes time to create what I create and many of my new creations utilize elements that I have already developed and used in the past. Things like the characters, the scenery and some of the Ideas I came up with in the past that could be applied in new ways.

What To Expect In the Future

As I have stated above, I  intend to work towards eventually doing animated video shorts. I will still be creating still images and reels but not as many, since it will obviously be a time consuming series of tasks to create animated shorts. Oh, and I will still be doing this blog thing too. So you could still expect to see some new reels from me being put online. So please check out our Instagram page to see the many creations already uploaded and check out the most recent one created down below. Thanks for reading this post and please tell your friends or share a link to this blog on your social media pages. So, until next time.
